The wholesome feeling of being greeted by old red barns on a country road. Open land, with crops carefully planted in rows. Sunshine kissing your skin, and a knowing that you've come to the right place.
Welcome to Honey's Harvest Farm, a full sensory experience, just off MD-259 in Lothian.
Previously used for tobacco and corn, Honey's Harvest Farm focuses on healthy, living soil to host a proper foundation for food and medicine through permaculture and regenerative agriculture.
With organic practices and wellbeing at its core, the farm offers handmade products, classes, events, and tours.
Farmer and Healer, Anna Chaney, along with her three children, have lived at Honey's Harvest Farm since 2009. For years, Anna has been deeply rooted in the process of growing food, cooking and serving others. She is the founder and creator of Herrington on the Bay, a successful restaurant and catering business. She exudes vibrance, and a profound knowledge of what's happening on her farm and beyond.
Through her own journey with chronic illness, Anna has experienced first hand the true power of healing through energy and quality food.
I got really, really sick in 2008. The next step was a PICC line to my heart and antibiotics. I just couldn't do that. I decided to look elsewhere. I tried a lot of things, and finally this little sound in my head kept saying, energy medicine, energy medicine. And I'm like , what the heck is energy medicine.

She nervously visited an energy healer and within six months, she was symptom free. She no longer needed the medication she had been taking for years and her bloodwork was great.
Because of her experience with chronic illness, and the healing journey that ensued, Anna attended the same school as her energy healer. She knows first hand that healthy soil and nutritious food is vital.
What some may call a weed, Anna shows you the healing properties that are just underfoot. From dandelion, to broadleaf plantain, natural medicine is all around. She's your tour guide on the weekends, and will leave you feeling empowered.
Honey's Harvest Farm is diverse in its offerings. They grow their own hemp and make CBD oil. In addition, they offer several herbal remedies that were grown and processed on their farm. From tinctures, to herbal teas and elderberry syrup, you have a wealth of healthy options at your fingertips.
A market is offered on most weekends in the big red barn, selling their homemade goodness, along with other vendors. Anna greets customers and shares her knowledge and suggestions.
Mullein is great for respiratory health. People with asthma will make a tea or a warm milk with this herb, and it will eliminate their asthmatic systems. During COVID, it's been fantastic. We've made a lot of herbal tea with it - it's amazing.

Expansion is taking place at Honey's Harvest Farm. Anna and her crew recently opened a retreat on the same road as the farm. It's a gorgeous, newly-renovated farmhouse, that offers tranquility and space to breathe in its natural settings. You can rent it for various occasions. She also offers classes, including a 10-day detox and weekend retreats.
The commitment and vision at Honey's Harvest Farm is palpable.
Go for the tour, visit the market, and stay for the warmth and hospitality. You may learn something that can better you and your family.
